Our Firm's Overall Philosophy
Riverside CourtRich Ackerman is dedicated to finding solutions to legal problems. It is not his goal to create billable hours or to promote unecessary conflict with others. Litigation is a last resort. If bankruptcy is needed for a client, it is our view that bankruptcy law is designed to provide you with protection and we will to all we can to assist you in resolving debt problems within the bankruptcy structure.
If there is any chance to be a peacemaker, we will avail ourselves of that opportunity and try to guide the opposing side toward a peaceful solution that is cost effective for all sides and which ensures a lasting resolution. In those cases where the other side is unwilling to work toward a peaceful resolution, we will use all of our knowledge, experience, and strength to advocate for our client's position. We will do so in an ethical, but aggressive way, in order to bring about results which benefit the client.
While we cannot predict what any judge or jury will do, we do promise to give our best to each client -- one at a time. While victory is always the ultimate goal, the greatest compliment we could ever have is when a client rehires us after an unexpected loss. This means that the client knows we did our best, that we have earned their trust, and that the client understands the risks of litigation. The mutual trust between a client and his/her attorney is the key to all successes we have --- regardless of any outcome.
